No affiliation
OpenPak is an independent community project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored or approved by Nintendo, Microsoft or Sony, or by any game publisher.
Nintendo, Nintendo Switch, Wii U, Wii, Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DS are trademarks of Nintendo. Xbox and Xbox 360 are trademarks of Microsoft. PlayStation and PlayStation 3 are trademarks of Sony Interactive Entertainment. Game titles and artwork belong to their respective owners. They are used here only to say which consoles and games work with OpenPak.
Name and logo
OpenPak’s software is free software: anyone may run it under the AGPL. The name “OpenPak” and the OpenPak logo are another matter: only OpenPak and its approved federation nodes may use them. An independent network built from the software must use its own name and logo, and may say it is “based on OpenPak software”.
Copyright and takedown requests
OpenPak does not host or distribute games, firmware or keys. If you believe something on openpak.org or an OpenPak service infringes your copyright or other rights, email [email protected] with:
- the work you believe is infringed, and the exact address (URL) or description of the material;
- your name and contact details, and on whose behalf you act;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner, and your physical or electronic signature.
We review every notice and remove material that infringes. If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same address.
For our source code on GitHub, you can also use GitHub’s DMCA process.
Security
Report security problems as described in our security policy; there is also a security.txt.
Region node operators
People who run an OpenPak region node agree to the operator terms: approval by OpenPak, the location policy, a box dedicated to OpenPak, the hardware and availability minimums, a data processing agreement (no logging of player data beyond operational need, deleted within 7 days), no modification of traffic, revocation at any time, and a security contact.
